Madness, the Modi style

Overwhelming poor ratings for Prime Minister Modi government’s first year’s performance have upset the Jan Sangh tea boy. He thinks Pakistan bashing would solve all problems that he has driven India into.  Modi is fast losing balance , it is unfortunate that the BJP has thrown-up a Prime Minister who has been a practitioner of terrorism as Chief Minister of Indian state Gujarat. Not a long ago he faced travel restriction to the US and the UK on count of his personal involvement in Gujarat massacre.

Prime Minister Modi’s statements during his visit to Bangladesh in which he acknowledged Indian Government’s involvement in the events of 1971 in the then Eastern Province of Pakistan, only confirmed Pakistan’s long standing stance on India’s negative role against a sovereign neighbouring state.

It is regrettable that the Indian politicians not only indulge in actions that are in violation of the United Nations’ Charter but also take pride in recalling their interference in the internal affairs of other states. International community needs to take note of Indian acknowledgement of its interference in East Pakistan.

During his Dhaka University address, Modi’s utterances violated all political norms. While Pakistan believes in peaceful co-existence and maintaining good neighbourly relations with India, characterization of bilateral relations by Prime Minister Modi as “nuisance” is sheer madness.

Instead of reining-in his wobbly ministers and advisers  on their anti-Pakistan rhetoric, Modi has now himself jumped the fray  as master joker!
